is the difference between Lasting Memories™ Montage, Designs
and Portraits?
The
differences between the three lines include:

Lasting Memories™ Montage memorials are the most highly
personalized. Families supply us their most favorite photographs
that Matthews' designers artistically arrange so the photo
images can be cast on your memorials.

Lasting Memories™ Designs offer families the ability to
express their religious devotion as well as patriotism, whic is
cost effective without creating a custom product.

Lasting Memories™ Portraits enable families to reproduce
most favorite photographs in bronze.
They offer the durability of cast bronze, which are economically
priced, can be added to all memorial designs and are ideal for
crypt/niche fronts.
Are
the Lasting Memories™ Montage and Design memorials available
in individual and companion styles?
Yes.
The Lasting Memories™ Montage and Design memorials are available
in individual as well as companion styles.
Can
the Lasting Memories™ Montage and Design memorials be ordered
with or without vases?
Yes
. The Lasting Memories™ Montage and Design memorials can
be ordered with or without vases.
In
what finish types are Lasting Memories™ memorials available?

Memories™ memorials are available in Matthews' Antique Finish.
Do
we have a choice of memorial sizes?
Yes.

different sizes ranging from 16” x 24” to 32”
x 72.” Lasting Memories™ Designs are offered in seven
sizes ranging from 16” x 24” to 60” x 20.”
Is
the Diamond Shield® protection
applied to Lasting Memories™ memorials?
Yes.
Lasting Memories™ memorials are coated with Matthews' patented
Diamond Shield® Protective Coating.
Are
there a choice of borders and letterstyles?
Yes.
Lasting Memories™ Montage memorials are available in Woodgrain
and Bevel Edge borders with either a Flat Face, Optima or Chancery
letterstyles. Lasting Memories™ Designs are offered in the
Woodgrain or Bevel Edge borders with the Flat Face or Oval Face
letterstyle types.
How
many photos can we place on the Lasting Memories™ Montage
memorials?
The
number of photos that can be used
depends on the size of the memorial. For memorials measuring 16”
x 24” to 28” x 16”, four photos are included
in the pricing*. Memorials measuring 36” x 13” to
60” x 20” can have up to six images with the pricing.*
The 32” x 72” (ledger) can have an unlimited number
of photos.

*More
than the maximum number of photos for your memorial can be included
for an additional charge.
Who
is responsible for arranging the photos on the Lasting Memories™
Montage memorials?
Matthews
employs a staff of graphic designers who create the designs from
customer supplied photographs.
How
do we ensure that the most important photos will receive prominence
in the design Matthews' artists create?
Matthews'
special Lasting Memories™ Montage Order Form includes information
instructing customers to “rank the photographs in order
of importance” with #1 being the most important such as
#1 – Anniversary photo of couple,
#2
– Grandchildren, etc.
Do
the photos supplied for the Lasting Memories™ Montage memorials
require any special handling?
Photos are to be placed between two pieces of cardboard for mailing.
They should never be stapled or paper clipped to the form. Photos
can be submitted via mail, email or on a CD or zip disk.
Can
photos be sent in frames
for added security in shipping?
No.
Photos must be removed from mountings and frames before they are
shipped to us.
Can
black and white photos be used for the Lasting Memories™
Montage memorials?
Yes.
Black and white photos can be used along with color pictures.
Can
photocopies be used for our Lasting Memories™ Montage memorials?
No.
Photocopies cannot be used. It is important to remember that the
highest quality photos will produce the highest quality cast image.
Can
portions of a photo be omitted before the image is cast on the
Lasting Memories™ Montage memorial?
Yes.
If only a portion of the photo is to be used, that portion must
be clearly specified.
Can
I use digital photos?
Yes.
Digital photos can be used. If your scanner software offers the
option of Preview or Pre-Scan, choose this feature so unnecessary
portions of the photo can be cropped. Plus, this reduces the size
of the file.
If
using digital images, which resolution is preferred?
Choose
a resolution of 150 dpi – 300 dpi for a standard size photo
(approximately 3.5” x 5”).
For
digital images, which formats are accepted?
File
types accepted are EPS, PSD, JPEG and TIFF files.
Where
should the photographs be sent for the Lasting Memories™
Montage memorials?
All
photos should be sent along with the order form directly to your
Customer Service Representative.
Are
the Lasting Memories™ Portraits available in different sizes?

Yes.
Lasting Memories™ Portraits are available in six sizes ranging
from
3.125”
x 3.94” to 5.88” x 7.88”
Can
more than one person be in the Lasting Memories™ Portrait
photograph?
Yes.
There can be up to two subjects in the Lasting Memories™
Portrait.
Does
the photograph supplied for the Lasting Memories™ Portrait
need to be in vertical or horizontal orientation?
Both
vertical and horizontal orientations can be used for Lasting Memories™
Portraits.
